Nicole is a licensed professional counselor associate with long term goals to become a registered play therapist. Her range of interests include working with children, adolescents, and adults. Nicole is a graduate of Tarleton State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology as well as her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During her graduate studies, Nicole spent considerable time working with children and adolescents of various ages and neurodiverse backgrounds. Her experience with adults ranges from teaching them various skill sets to addressing mental health concerns. She has seen concerns including but limited to: anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, ADHD, and unhealthy coping behaviors. Nicole works from a client-centered and child-centered approach in that she strives to provide a therapeutic relationship based on security, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and trust. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the basis that empowers clients in their journey to learn self-efficacy, self-respect, and self-advocacy. She integrates various therapeutic styles and techniques in order to meet the unique needs of each client.
